Summer Reading List #eatreadlovebookclub
It has been such a busy year so not a lot of time for reading novels, and I for one cannot wait to get down to the south coast and get curled up with a few new books. There is nothing too heavy in this list... it is my summer escapism list for a little romance, foodie love and perhaps some interior inspiration as well. Some lovely gift ideas in here too for fellow eat read lovers....

Colour lovers: My love for colour, means the new book Colour A Journey by Victoria Alexander will be on the Christmas wishlist. Victoria has also written another of my favs, the Bathers Pavillion Cookbook
For the interior addicts: Stylist Megan Morton's new book Things I Love would make the perfect coffee table book and a wonderful present for someone special.
Fresh Foodies: dreamy food styling and recipes by favourite food photographer and blogger What Katie Ate. A big fan of The Selby blog also, this book looks awesome, and Pomegranate and Roses looks to be an absolutely beautiful one for the romantic chef at heart.
Historical Romance - as a huge fan of Paullina Simons The Bronze Horseman, the prequel Children of Liberty is all loaded up on the kindle ready to go. It sounds like it takes a while to set up all the characters in the beginning but in true Paullina Simons style apparently it all comes together beautifully in the end.
Teen Romance - if you liked Beautiful Disaster, then I have been told you will also like the Providence Trilogy by same author Jamie McQuire. Young (and not so young) fans of Beautiful Disaster will also be excited that the sequel Walking Disaster is due out in April, written through heroic lead character Travis's eyes. The Briny Cafe and the Secret of Ella and Micha also on the summer easy reading romance list.
Quirky & Sweet - And finally I have just started 'The Perks of Being A Wallflower' which has been recommended to me also as a lovely heartwarming read.

So only a few more days of work and shopping, then it is time for some much needed R&R. Well this list should keep me busy for a few weeks camping and relaxing on the south coast. That reminds me I must get my kindle light ASAP!
