Swine & Co

Happy as a Pig in Mud at Swine & Co, Sydney.
Well I am a little taken with Swine & Co. As the name suggests, with signature suckling pig and slow roasted cuts leading the menu, Swine & Co pays homage to the pig. A passion for cooking with simple honest ingredients, Head Chef Bobby Taylor now resides at 16 O'Connell Street Sydney in the former Bank of NSW. This divine art deco building has been lovingly restored and redefined as a stylish Sydney dining destination. I loved this place and the interiors detail from the first moment I walked in to the upstairs bar and deli, with even more decor delights downstairs in the very chic dining room. With a glass of bubbles on arrival, heirloom tomato salad (with tomato essence!), signature suckling pig and the most divine ricotta and sage gnocchi that I have tasted, I was as happy as a pig in mud. With smart black tiles, clean marble finishes and mirrored detailing, Swine & Co is a beautiful, sophisticated dining space that remains relaxed but so very NYC basement chic. This is a one stop shop too. If you only have a minute, then grab a coffee and a bite to go from the upstairs deli, but if you have the time I suggest blocking a few hours out and heading downstairs to indulge in a long lunch or dinner with friends. Either way you will love it! And as the front bar kindly reminds you on the way in 'there is always time for one'….
