EVENT // Slow Living Workshop - Sydney & Melbourne
Slow Living Workshop is coming to Sydney and Melbourne - don't miss the opportunity to learn from some of the best international and local talent when it comes to styling photography and content creation. I am so excited about attending this upcoming event, I wanted to share all the details with you while there is still a few coveted spots left. Join Beth Kirby of Local Milk, Rebekka Seale of Camellia Fiber Company, and photographer Luisa Brimble for a two-day slow living workshop, in which we will explore creating content through food, florals, photography, and textiles. Sounds like a dream right?
During the course you will explore the process of living the content you want to create. The first day, delve into the natural dye process using local, foraged plants and flowers to brighten rustic kitchen linens, and the second day you will bake wholesome pastries together. Afterward, on both days, you will workshop styling, photography, and visual story telling with the dyed textiles, flowers, baked goods, tea, and coffee. Participants will receive focused, personalized guidance in photography & styling—we will touch on camera basics, building a portfolio, creating a social media presence that resonates, prop sourcing, how to write a pitch & get published, planning photo shoots, post-processing, and more—as well as learn the practical skills of dying, floral arranging, and baking. You will also share morning and afternoon teas and lunch each day.
Location: The Lost + Found Department
Dates: September 6th and 7th, 2014
