Kinfolk Dinner Sydney - Wabi Sabi Messy Meal
Photos by Rachel Kara
This season's Kinfolk Dinner theme is Wabi Sabi - A Messy Meal. What is Wabi Sabi you ask:
"Wabi-sabi represents a comprehensive Japanese world view or aesthetic centered on the acceptance of transience and imperfection. The aesthetic is sometimes described as one of beauty that is "imperfect, impermanent, and incomplete". Characteristics of the wabi-sabi aesthetic include asymmetry, asperity (roughness or irregularity), simplicity, economy, austerity, modesty, intimacy and appreciation of the ingenuous integrity of natural objects and processes" (Wiki)
For guests at our upcoming Kinfolk Dinner, prepare to be embraced by a unique experience, a sense of earth, a sense of place, a sense of coming together. A beautiful & succulent Wabi Sabi style meal in a unique and secret little Sydney rooftop location. Shared moments & mindful messiness, delectable & delicious. Raw simplicity with humble intention & beauty abound. Expect the unexpected. We can't wait to share all of the details with you so please stay tuned to eat read love on instagram @eatreadlover for all the pics.
A high thanks to our event partners and Kinfolk mag of course!
