Yet Another Magical Kinfolk Dinner comes to life in Sydney - This Time a Small Sunday Night Supper 'In Praise of Slowness' at Paddington's Saint Cloche Gallery

It was a honour to host the latest Kinfolk Dinner gathering together with styling extraordinaire Lisa Madigan and blogging soul sister Jaclyn Carlson from Blog Society. Guests were invited to this soulful Sunday gathering for a long supper, a time to slow down, unwind, contemplate & be present. It was an opportunity to connect with like minds, feast on delicious, thoughtfully prepared produce, soak up a grounded & languid environment & experience some of the positive influences of slow living. After a small Slow Living Workshop, guests were treated to a delicious three course long table sharing feast prepared by Chomp, surrounded by beautiful artworks from Monique Lovering and Ceramics by Tara Burke in the gorgeous Saint Cloche Gallery in leafy Paddington.

When I first arrived and got a glimpse of what Lisa had created with the table I was blown away. Neighbours were peeking in taking photos as they walked past. I loved that Lisa brought the earth to our table with a lush centrepiece of soft dirt and leaves…a first time for everything and in true Lisa Madigan style, pushing the boundaries always pays off!! A huge thanks to Claire and Grant from Chomplife who cooked our beautiful hearty Wintery supper with soup, lamb shanks, creamy mash and colourful salads and sides, all served in bespoke ceramics made by Tara.

It was a truly magical evening, a few goose bump moments for me - listening to Monique talk about her time in Southern Italy and the inspiration behind her work + Tara talking about her ceramics and time in the Royal National Park - two places close to my heart and it just felt like there was a reason all of us were sharing a meal together. A table connected by a love for creativity, a passion for great food and art, and a need for real conversation. In true Carl Honore style we all put our phones and cameras away for a while, and just enjoyed being in the moment.

A heartfelt thanks to Kitty for generously opening her home and gallery to us to enjoy this special occasion and to Lean, Kat and David for capturing it all on film. And to our lovely dinner guests who came along and embraced the evening - it was a true pleasure to meet you ALL and I hope to see you again, you are always welcome at the Kinfolk table!

A very special thank you to all of our special event partners. As we are all volunteers, without your help and support these events would not be possible, so I would like to say a BIG thank you for collaborating with us!!
