Christmas In July//Noel en Juillet comes to Royalla Luxury Farmstay in Robertson. 

Have you ever wanted to host a soulful gathering but don't know where to start? Many people have asked me about the process of hosting intimate gatherings over the years, so I decided to create a special workshop to encourage others to collaborate and host events, while learning the art of styling and photography along the way. It was a feast for the senses, and a brilliant opportunity for like minded creatives to come together, share and learn, without having to rush. As you probably know I do love to host a gathering and have been doing so for the past three years with the 'eat read love pop up' dinner series and as the host of the Kinfolk Dinner Series in Sydney. With the help of some of my special creative friends and event partners, we created a soulful 'Christmas in July' gathering workshop at Royalla - a stunning luxury farmstay in Robertson in the Southern Highlands. 

With all of the event partners experienced in hosting small and large gatherings, myself and the team shared some of their favourite tips and tricks from creating event themes, styling an event space and table, preparing a menu, photographing events, sharing on social media and more. Myself and Jaclyn Carlson (of Blog Society Fame) spent the morning chatting with the group about collaboration and event social media. Artist and Stylist Lisa Madigan shared some insight into the role of the stylist in creating events and the creative process, as well as creating and sharing some beautiful florals and menu cards for the table, and decorating a Christmas cake class. Mario's Kitchen prepared an amazing French inspired 'Christmas in July' feast for us to not only enjoy, but the perfect opportunity to hone in on our food photography skills. Luisa Brimble with the help of Jess Kneebone spent the afternoon teaching the group about manual photography, the art of food, landscape and interiors photography. We shared, we ate, we wandered, we foraged and most of all we connected. We were blessed with a beautiful and crisp Winter's day in the Highlands with a brilliant sunset and marshmallow bonfire finale to enjoy.
