LOVE | Chateau de Bridoire | Ribagnac, Dordogne
Inside the beautiful Chateau de Bridoire - the table is set for a beautiful lunch, just as it would have been for past Kings and Queens, with secret doors and tunnels hidden all around the room..
Wandering through the different rooms of Chateau de Bridoire...learning the art of writing with a quill. I loved this little hallway vignette here. Ready to go riding ?
in Ribagnac in the Dordogne region is a beautifully restored private castle dating back to the 15th century.
Opened to the public for the first time recently after being lovingly restored by the Guyot family, Chateau de Bridoire is located in a preserved environment in the heart of the vineyards of Monbazillac, close to Bergerac. The castle has been restored to reflect the atmosphere of the family home at the time of
Marquis de Foucault
, the owner at the end of the 19th century. This is a truly wonderful place for children to visit with an array of medieval games all around the castle grounds. Our boys loved the Boulie, Chess, The Goose Game and the sling shot game as well. You can also tour the kitchen, dining rooms and courtyard. At night time you can now enjoy 'Nights at Bridoire' - evening shows with animated characters in costumes. A beautiful and unique family day out. We absolutely loved it here.
