I have to wait until a special Milestone birthday to finally return to one of the BEST cities in the world....NYC! In the meantime it will have to be armchair travel via masterchef NYC and weekly installments of Gossip Girl, 9bydesign and SATC re-runs to get my fix. When I do return, the first point of call will be The Stylists Guide to New York, by Sibella Court, the book that inspired me to write this post about all my favourite NYC things...
Oh and when I return, Sibella's latest book ‘Nomad’, a beautiful photographic collection of travel shots & styled spaces, will show me how to bring my travels home in the most unexpected of ways...

Always on the look out for great book shop cafes, this unique book store is designed by Front Studio for McNally Jackson Books the largest independent book store in Manhattan. And where else in the world could you get New York Times 'fresh newspaper smell' scented candles! Refinery29 has some great gift ideas too...
Courtney & Rob Novogratz from the fantastic 9bydesign program (& sixx design) have done some amazing renovations in NYC - turning old parking lots into luxury apartments, to divine Hampton havens and luxury hotel renovations. Watching them renovate with 7 kids makes my life seem a little less crazy... but mostly I love their simple and unique designs.....and the book Downtown Chic
