feeling (neutral &) blue

Some new photos I have taken recently, celebrating a favourite colour combination - neutral tones with a splash of blue, navy blue, pale blue, any blue will do...
I really like 'pears on display'....they always look lovely solo or in a group don't you think...?

these navy blue pots would look perfect in any white or neutral room, and some delicious blue & neutral luxe items for your bathroom

love: A neutral room is always very calming and versatile, and adding a touch of colour can help you move between the seasons. With Spring well and truly underway, adding some beautiful 'beach inspired' blue additions like cushions, pots, and artwork can really get you in the mood, and keep you calm and relaxed.

read: a very special friend recently gave me this divine book 'Sense of STYLE colour + space by Shannon Fricke, as a housewarming gift (she knows me very well!) The book is full of great advice on adding colour, texture and style to your home + gorgeous photography.

my fabulous new BOOK - STYLE by Shannon Fricke

a bit about blue: azure, aqua, cornflower, cobalt, sea or navy blue. According to Shannon Fricke 'because of the relaxing qualities of blue, a room can cope with being awash with even the most intense shades of blue. Adding a touch of blue can add a sense of calm and evoke the feelings of the ocean". Shannon adds, "Blue coupled with the simplicity of white for a seaside feel, and with the textural tones of oatmeal and natural linen for a more sophisticated twist". I couldn't agree more!

"gather: the things we surround ourselves with, the details that fill every nook and cranny of our lives, paint the clearest picture of who we are and how we prefer to exist" Shannon Fricke

If you are looking for some beautiful things to gather and fill the special nooks in your life, all of these pieces photographed can be found in Char Bella. Donna has a fabulous eye for design and has a stylish range of beautiful eclectic and contemporary pieces for your home, as well as stocking some special Ruby Star pieces and a deluxe range of children's clothing and gifts. And a little birdy told me that we will be seeing a lot more of Donna's lovely homewares very soon.
