Cafe de Flore, Paris

Ok so I had to have a coffee at one of the most famous cafes in Paris... Just a short stroll from our apartment, the Café de Flore, at the corner of Boulevard Saint-Germain and Rue St. Benoit, in the 6th arrondissement, is one of the oldest and the most prestigious coffeehouses in Paris, celebrated for its famous clientele. The classic Art Deco interior of all red seating, mahogany and mirrors has changed little since World War II. Many a French intellectual sat and drank coffee here in the post-war years. I was lucky enough to enjoy a 'cafe creme' in the sun this week. A day to remember. Put this at the top of your list for your next visit to Paris, if only for the people watching alone.
