Bringing Bloggers Together as Blog Society Launches at Vivid Sydney
The last few weeks have been a whirlwind of exciting phone calls and event planning. It all started with an email from a lovely lady by the name of Jaclyn Carlson. I had known Jac through her blog
and we had crossed paths many times through the lifestyle blogging circle but when I got an email asking if I wanted to help co-host a
Sydney event I was beyond excited. Hard to top that! Well Jac then asked if I would like to help her run a blogging workshop at the launch of her brand new project
at the Vivid Sydney festival. Of course I said YES! Well life hasn't really been the same since that email. Busy weeks of planning, collecting props and brainstorming ideas has all paid off for Jac - the launch of Blog Society was a huge success. Hard to beat an afternoon of styling, taking photos and sharing ideas with fellow bloggers, and the opportunity to listen to the story of two very beautiful and inspirational Australian interiors bloggers - Jen Bishop (
) and Viv Mansour (
. The most wonderful thing out of this entire experience has been the lovely people I have met along the way. Teaming up again with friend and super stylist Madeline Johnson (T
) and acclaimed photographer
(The Quintessential Magazine, Inside Out, Country Style, Vogue Living) it was bound to be a pretty special afternoon. Loved watching the other style trio - Jessica Bellef (
), photographer Milton Gan (
and gorgeous photographer and blogger
(who also took all of these amazing pics!!)
A big shout out also to some local lovelies - thanks to my friends at fashion central
who provided the beautiful AESOP products for our beauty section,
for the beyond gorgeous watches and leather goods, and
and
for the lovely cushions and homewares.
Jac - what an inspiring and wonderful
individual you are. You are most certainly helping Australian bloggers reach the stars. It has been a pleasure working with you on these projects and I look forward to our next exciting collab.....oh how wish I could share as they are VERY exciting indeed. But you will just have to wait.... :)
