Catherine Saxelby launches fabulous new recipe book about Ancient Grains - Whole Food Recipes for the Modern Table.  I was lucky enough to attend the launch of Ancient Grains - the beautiful new nutrition/recipe book by my good friend and inspiring colleague Catherine Saxelby. The boutique wholefoods supermarket About Life in Rozelle hosted the lovely book launch - a wonderful evening with fellow foodies and nutrition colleagues to learn all about 'Ancient Grains' and sample some of the delicious recipes from the new book. Healthy food need not taste boring and the recipe developers of 'Ancient Grains' have perfected the balance of delicious, fresh ingredients with wholesome grains. Who knew that cooking with ancient grains offers such a rich palette of flavourful wholegrain meals! With everything you could ever want to know about grains, from Quinoa to Oats, Barley to Spelt, this new book not only has a comprehensive grains directory but over 100 recipes including delicious dishes suitable for vegans, vegetarians, meat lovers as well as low GI and gluten free recipes.

Each and every recipe has been beautifully styled by Stephanie Souvlis, with stunning food photography by Andre Martin, and I think you will agree that the cover shot is sensational!  With so much conflicting nutrition information around, Catherine has mastered the art of delivering easy to understand, credible nutrition advice that still allows you to enjoy your food. Catherine also has one of the best food and nutrition blogs around, full of inspirational recipes, myth busters, fast facts, sound nutrition advice, food reviews and of course the BEST salad recipes. We don't call you the 'Salad Queen' for nothing Cath!
