The Amazing Ornamental Ginger Flower

The Ornamental Ginger Flower. The delivery of this extra large bunch of Indonesian Ginger Flowers had us all squealing with delight. These pale pink beauties (sometimes known as Indonesian tall ginger, torch ginger or wild ginger) are divine showy pink flowers often used in decorative arrangements. I believe the flower buds are sometimes used as a cooking ingredient in North Sumatra too.

In preparation for our special eat read love pop up dinner dinner event we wanted some beautiful flowers for the table to continue with our tropical pink theme. Herni from Gloriosa Bali delivered these STUNNING Ginger flowers to us and we all fell in love with the colour and the size. The sheer weight of one bunch of these babies was hard to believe. I hope you like these pictures Luisa took of the delivery, the cutting and the styling, with our very helpful Putu carrying them, Sophie Baker looking so stylish holding them (they are really heavy!) and Lisa Madigan working her Ginger flower floral design magic, creating some lovely centrepieces for dinner table. Wouldn't these make beautiful wedding flowers too?
