Roberts Restaurant, Circa 1876, The Hunter Valley
A trip to the Hunter Valley is never complete without a wander through the historic Roberts Restaurant Circa 1876. Built in 1876 as the name suggests, Roberts is one of the Hunter Valley's most treasured, iconic and picture perfect places to visit.  The heritage listed cottage is full of elegant antiques and open fires just waiting for you to sit, relax and enjoy a glass of red. We didn't have time to stop and eat and enjoy the restaurant this time but it will definitely on my list when I return. We did get a chance to wander through the gorgeous market garden and vineyard and visit the little white chapel at the back of the Pepper Tree Winery Estate. Such a special place indeed and worthy of a few photos too.  You can stay right next door too at Peppers Convent which is equally lovely.
