The Stables Co-Op in Surry Hills + Venus Cafe. 

We had so much fun on Friday checking out The Stables Co- Op in Surry Hills. This fantastic Victorian terrace houses the fashion distribution arm, with retail shop at the front, Venus Cafe at the back and commercial office space, this little hub of design (just opposite The Beresford Hotel) has such a great vibe. Unlike the modern day mega department store, The Stables is a retail, creative, dining and distribution space all in one, rich in quality and history, reminding us all of how businesses used to co-exist in Sydney. The owners have a real passion for the community spirit and building the Hill Street precinct into a bustling local haven.  The staff at the Venus Cafe looked after us so well with coffees and salads too! Oh and did I mention the secret rooftop space where something very exciting will be happening in October…stay tuned for that one, you wont want to miss is.  In the meantime check this place out for your next lunch or coffee stop.
