Bells at Killcare Weekend Escape

Bells at Killcare is a boutique hotel, restaurant and spa located just a short 1 hour drive North of Sydney. If you love a little Hampton's style luxury, and looking for your next weekend getaway, then Bells at Killcare is the place for you. With a multi award winning restaurant on site, luxury day spa, manicured gardens and secluded accommodation cottages, this is the perfect adults only retreat to relax and unwind. With both the bush of the Bouddi National Park and gorgeous beaches only minutes away you can explore the area on foot or by car. Take a stroll down the hill to the quaint and super friendly little village at Hardy's Bay, take a swim at Putty Beach, or a longer bush walk on one of the coastal tracks or just sit by the fire with a glass of bubbles and relax. There is something for everyone here. 

I had the absolute pleasure of spending some time here recently and I loved every minute. The cottages and suites are spacious and warm, perfect for a couples retreat or girls weekend away. Foodies will love the restaurant headed up by one of Australia's leading chefs, and master of modern Italian cuisine, Stefano Manfredi. Menus change season by season based on what is available in the garden and locally. The Kitchen Garden on site is a work in progress, well on its way to providing the restaurant with an abundance of fresh local produce. The staff are super friendly, relaxed and helpful. The wine list, with over 300 selected wines, is one of the biggest and best I have seen too. The restaurant is open for breakfast, lunch and dinner, with cosy open fires at each end, and a gorgeous sunny deck overlooking the gardens. It was a little chilly to swim this time, but I can imagine lazy days and cocktails by the pool in Summer in the stunning lap pool.  If you are looking for a little pampering, the on site day spa offers signature massages and all of the beauty treatments you could wish for. I am so fussy when it comes to remedial massage, but this was honestly one of the best I have had. 

So if you are looking for a weekend getaway, a girls retreat or to celebrate a birthday, anniversary or any special occasional I can definitely recommend Bells at Killcare. The nearby areas of Hardy's Bay and Killcare offer some amazing walks, beaches and wildlife, and the drive won't leave you exhausted either. It is only an hour from the city, yet you feel like you are miles away from the hustle and bustle. Bells at Killcare is also a perfect choice for a wedding, honeymoon or babymoon too offering special mid week and weekend packages. I cannot wait to return and already rounding up the girls for our next retreat.
